1000 Miles of Life - CD

This is John Oates’ first album recorded in Nashville. Additional sessions were recorded in Aspen Coloardo and Los Angeles. The Nashville sessions were engineered by the legendary Bil Vorndik and was performed by an all star group of Nashville session players. This rare release weaves a tapestry of traditional American musical styles and tells the tale of life, love, loss and family.

Co-produced by Oates and Jed Leiber, “1000 Miles of Life” features world renowned musicians like John Popper (Blues Traveler), Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, and cameo vocals by The Blind Boys of Alabama as well as Bekka and Bonnie Bramlett.
